The wait is finally over. Took me longer to finish than I had first expected, but hey what else is new. It's finished and that's all that matters. On to the next project.

I am extremely happy with this one. I'd like to thank Emerwyn very much for his generosity, patience and support. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to put so much energy into it. Shallyah, the draenei shaman from nagrand, belongs to him. He commissioned me to draw his character. We had several long conversation on how we wanted to portray her and based on her background story and the descriptions he gave me we decided it would be perfect to draw her in a pose that resembles a wardance.

As a shaman she is master of the elements (earth, wind, fire etc) so I wanted to use as many of those as possible.

Once I drew the rough pose I figured it'd be cool to have her fist weapon get struck with lightning since it was pointed up towards the sky. From that idea I realised it would be sweet to have her channel that energy to her other hand in order to cast a lightning bolt and have the rest of the remaining energy leave her body through her hoofs into the earth, resulting in the ground breaking open as she stomps her hoof down.

All in all I tried to make this picture as dynamic as possible while trying to maintain a certain harmony in shapes and colours. She had to be powerful and destructive but gracious and feminine at the same time and I'm pretty satisfied with how that came out.

Had alot of comments on the draenei legs I drew last time so I've been studying them for a bit n drew them differently this time.

In the background I drew a dwarven city to add a little detail so obviously it's set somewhere in Dun Morogh. Whether it's Ironforge or not, I'll leave that up to your imagination.

on request I put a little tag in there somewhere saying "DNP" which is a little wink to Emerwyn's guild :3
